Infant Swimming Resource’s Self-Rescue® swimming program is scheduled 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, for 10 minutes each day for an average of 6 weeks. With a focus on safe, customized, one-on-one lessons by certified Instructors, ISR’s survival swimming lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education to deliver the most effective and safest results.
We live in North West Boise on Hill Road near State Street & Glenwood. The pool is above ground and heated. It is located in my garage with direct access for the lessons. We use SoftSwim Chemicals to treat the pool, a more gentle alternative to chlorine.
**Please note for lessons held at my private residence children must be less than 48” tall due to the size of the pool.
New students learn ISR Self-Rescue skills to roll to their back and float. When children are ready; usually after 18 months - 2 years old, we will start building swimming skills working toward a "Swim - Float - Swim" sequence.
Skills attained depend on your child's age and readiness. Once lessons begin your instructor will communicate with you regarding your child's progress and expected final results within a given time period.
Maintenance lessons are scheduled 2-3 days per week for multiple weeks, once or twice per year. These lessons may be set up on a weekly basis. For first time refresher students please speak with your instructor to determine how many weeks of lessons will be needed. Lessons will be charged on a weekly basis ($20 per lesson) with the every week paid upfront.
There are no refunds or credits given for missed lessons
Tuition for the session is $600. This non-refundable fee is made in two payments. The first is paid as a $200 deposit at sign-up. The remaining balance is paid three weeks before your lessons begin.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled session please notify me ASAP. If I can find a replacement your deposit may be applied to a future date. We try to teach as many children as possible these potential life-saving skills each session. Late cancellations or schedule changes can make it impossible to fill vacant spots that would otherwise be utilized.
ISR lessons are paid as tuition and your enrollment reserves your time spot. If there is a delay in payment, your lesson time may be offered to another student and your non-refundable deposit will be forfeited. There are no refunds or credits given for missed lessons.
Additionally, there is a registration fee of $105 for new students and $35 for returning students. The registration fee covers a medical screening by our Registration Evaluation Team (RET) to assess the physical and developmental readiness of your child for these lessons.
When you reserve a time for lessons that is your time regardless of your attendance. Therefore, no refunds or credits are given for missed lessons due to your child’s illness, your vacations or bad weather. Your child will benefit the most from consecutive lessons if your vacation will interrupt more than one day of lessons we encourage you to reconsider your enrollment period to a time when you can commit to the six weeks.
We also have a limited number of scholarships available. The scholarship covers the fee for the lessons but families are still responsible for the registration fees. If you or interested in learning more please contact your instructor.
I am not currently booking for future sessions. Please sign up for waitlist if you want to be notified of future release dates. Or, to find another instructor in the area please visit www.infantswim.com.
